Susan Garner Mitchell: Spring Ho Booth

Susan Garner Mitchell grew up in a small town in the Texas Hill Country with three brothers and had many adventures while exploring on their grandparent's ranch. She knows a lot of the history and natural environment of the area in which she writes. When Ethan, her oldest grandson, was 5 years old, Susan started writing stories with him. Ethan had a wonderful imagination and started contributing ideas for the stories as he became older. Now their other four grandchildren are also characters in the stories. When Ethan was 6 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia, and passed away before he reached the age of 9. A percentage of book sales is donated to a fund for sending children to youth camp. When Susan is not working in the insurance industry or reading to children, she is playing and exploring with her grandchildren.
